Nation — Privacy Policy

Nation is a civilization card game made by Corkscrew Games. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what the game needs to run, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.

Information we collect

• Account identifiers. When you first play, the game creates an anonymous player account with a random ID stored on your device. If you register, we also store your email address (and a password, stored securely by our game-services provider). If you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive a sign-in token from Apple or Google to identify your account — we do not receive your password.
• Display name. The name you choose is visible to other players in matches and on leaderboards.
• Gameplay data. Campaign progress, achievements, ratings, match results, unlocks, and Stars balances — so your progress follows your account.
• Purchase records. If you buy Stars on the web version, our payment processor (PayPal) handles the payment; we record what was purchased so it can be delivered. We never see or store your card details.
• Diagnostics. Basic device information, usage analytics, and crash reports that help us find and fix bugs.

Services we use

Nation runs on trusted third-party game infrastructure, which processes the data above on our behalf:

• Microsoft Azure PlayFab — player accounts, save data, and leaderboards
• Photon (Exit Games) — real-time multiplayer connections
• Unity Analytics — anonymous usage statistics
• Sentry — crash reporting
• Apple / Google — optional sign-in
• PayPal — payments on the web version only

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no advertising networks in the game.
• No selling or renting your personal information — ever.
• No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all of its data at any time from inside the game: open your Profile and choose Delete Account. This removes your account, display name, progress, purchases, and leaderboard history, and it cannot be undone. You can also email us at wyatt@corkscrewgames.com and we'll delete it for you.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, it is removed from our systems. Crash and analytics data is retained only as long as needed to operate and improve the game.

Children

Nation is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
